My story with animals began at a young age, when I was frequently nurturing and handfeeding injured wildlife. The bond I formed with these vulnerable creatures ignited a passion that would shape the rest of my life. As a teenager, I eagerly seized the opportunity to work at a local vet's office before my school day even began. Those early mornings were the start of a fulfilling time in the world of animal care.

After graduating high school, I stepped into a more significant role, managing the front office for our local veterinarian. The experience allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the intricate world of pet health, and I was deeply moved by the profound relationships between animals and their human companions.

My journey continued as I transitioned into working at a kennel specializing in pet boarding. It was here that I honed my skills in ensuring the well-being of pets in a boarding environment, providing a home away from home where every tail-wag and purr was celebrated.

Life then took an unexpected turn, leading me into a 15+ year career in civilian law enforcement. While my commitment to public service was undeniably valuable, my heart always held a special place for my original passion: animals.

Throughout the years, my dedication to animal rescue remained unwavering. I've been actively involved in fostering and facilitating the joyful union of animals with their forever families. The fulfillment of seeing a rescued pet find their loving forever home is a feeling that never loses its magic.

Now, having retired from my previous profession, I am wholeheartedly returning to my roots, focusing on what truly fills my soul - the well-being of pets. Fetching & Fluff is the embodiment of my lifelong dedication to these incredible creatures. Here, we celebrate the beauty of the human-animal bond and provide exceptional care and support for our furry, feathered, hooved, webbed, and finned friends.
